Sensors detected a massive energy wave coming from the Nekkar Star System. The type of energy and shape of the energy wave suggested a temporal and possible a cross dimensional element to the event. Since the Nekkar system is within United Federation of Planets space, they sent their own team via the USS T'Kumbra to investigate. Inside the atmosphere of the 3rd planet (as gas giant) several ring shaped objects as well as a large but badly damaged space vessel were recovered.
Initial Reports
The initial reports from the USS T'Kumbra reveal that the ring shaped objects appeared to be made of some kind of capacitive material but the exact type was unknown and not in our database. They had recovered the vessel in pieces, it broke apart when the T'Kumbra pulled it out of the atmosphere of Nekkar 4. Study from the outside was to be completed before entrance was attempted and support fields and structures to allow entrance was being set up. Entrance was expected within a week or so from the initial report, sent on Day 3.
Security Breech
The perimeter was breeched by an unknown force, later identified as Damien Smith and an unknown female on Day 6. A small battle with a fighter craft sent from an unknown vessel ensued and ended with the capture of both. During an escape attempt Mr. Smith was beamed away but the unknown female was killed in a transporter accident. The unknown vessel appeared to be equipped with a cloaking device and while its energy signature was similar to a smaller starship, it was not seen. A Stargate and dialing device was beamed off of the T'Kumbra while shields were down just before Mr. Smith and his accomplice attempted escape.
Involvement
Solas Tempus dispatched the USS Sage and USS Phantom escorted by four Peregrine Class Fighters to investigate the anomalous readings.
Vident Obscura assigned two agents aboard the USS Phantom to assist, at the request of Solas Tempus.
Conflict
Solas Tempus had considerable trouble gaining access to the system. Finally after Admiral Thomas negotiated with unknown contacts within Starfleet Intelligence to have the USS T'Kumbra was pulled out of the system.
