The Angel of Io is a newly commissioned Defiant Class Starship awaiting assignment at the Umbral Shipyards in the Schatten Star System. Construction was completed on July 2nd, 2385 and she passed final inspection on July 7th of that year. In November of 2385 she was assigned to to Captain Charlotte Lewis one of the first sentient AI officers to be admitted after the ALFRE act was ratified into law for the Concord.
