The Black Viper is a Saladin Class Starship formerly a scout ship for the United Federation of Planets. Acquired by private interests in 2321 the vessel was then used as a transport vessel until it was acquired by Solas Tempus for refit out of a derelict shipyard in 2371. Slated for refit by the Umbral Shipyards in 2381 the vessel was moved down the list for construction projects and finally refit in 2384.
