The Velvet Frog is an Archer Class Starship which completed its shakedown cruise after a 2 month overhaul to repair malfunctions in the power grid after construction. As of June 6th, 2386 the vessel was deemed fully operational. The vessel was originally slated for use for a flag officer, but was instead assigned to the Aquarius Initiative where it was assigned to the AI Ciara Quinn for freelance use.

As part of the Aquarius Initiative the vessel's DFD uses hardware interlocks to prevent it from achieving time travel.
