The Kearsarge Class Starship was originally developed as a light cruiser for Starfleet Command in the mid 23rd century. It was designed for a minimal crew and to be a a fast, rapid response vessel. Smaller than many of the other vessels in the fleet at the time, the ship has only 11 decks. Solas Tempus has taken this original design and began extensive design refits. The vessel is now designed as a covert tactical destroyer, with particular emphasis on it's ability to jump in and out of an area and deploying ordinance before it can be targetted. Special considerations have also been made for unique crew compliments, although the vessel has room for a total crew of 155 it need only be operated by a commanding officer in conjunction with the ships AI using droids and various rapair systems. This allows significant amounts of power to be saved and devoted to defensive / offensive systems.
