History
The Cosmic Nomad, a Kestrel Class starship, was constructed in the year 2374 at the San Francisco Shipyards on Earth. During its shakedown cruise, a tragic incident occurred: a radiation leak from another vessel in orbit led to the irradiation of the maintenance crew. This unfortunate event gave rise to rumors among pilots and command crews that the ship was haunted. Space mariners, being a superstitious lot, were wary of the vessel, which likely contributed to its minimal use and operation in promotional efforts to sell it. It wasn't until 2377 that the ship found its owners—Wesson Phoenix Rider purchased the vessel, with Alex Steele contributing half of the cost. The acquisition came after Wesson's previous ship was irreparably damaged during a job. Since that time, the Cosmic Nomad has served as the personal spacecraft for both Wesson and Alex.
