She originally served as a tactical patrol vessel in the 23rd century before the fleet underwent a wide array of refits. In 2282 she was scheduled for refit, however, this was delayed indefinitely due to changes in the fleet organization in 2288. After Wolf 359 and the devastation of the fleet, the ship was pulled out of the shipyards and in 2367 her refit to current standards at that time was approved by the Admiralty. In 2380, the ship was taken off of the active duty roster and placed on detached duty, her assignment was classified, that same year the entire crew was offloaded under the orders of Admiral James Graves.
