USS Excalibur (NCC-27913)

Template:Galaxy Class The Excalibur was actually built at the Ronin Shipyards by Solas Tempus for Starfleet Command. Though the vessel did serve as a Starfleet vessel for a few years, it was soon commissioned back into the hands of Solas Tempus as the danger in the Schatten Star System began to rise and more Solas Tempus vessels were required to maintain security. The vessel was originally going to be used as a general defense ship but instead became the primary vessel for Admiral Thomas following the loss of his pervious ship, the USS Nemian during a battle.

The company's are named for characters from the Arthurian Legends, where the ship also gets its name. Each company sports a special patch insignia for the vessel (indicating the sword Excalibur atop the Lake) and an additional emblem in honor of their namesake. For Percival Company this the holy grail as told about in the legends while in the case of Tristian Company, it is a symbol of two lovers.
