There are multiple variants of this technology, please refer to Drone Disambiguation for a list of the variants. |
Based upon the Federation DOT-7 repair drone, this drone merges some of the technologies of the Astromech Droid. Unlike the Astromech, it does not have as sophisticated an on board computer system. It moves via short-range anti-gravity and thruster propulsion and does not have treads or wheels that it can move via conventional means.
Tools
- Replicative Repair Beam
- Plasma Welders
- Micro-Transporter
- Molecular resolution transporters designed to beam into place replicated materials.
- Micro-Replicator / Recycler
- Molecular resolution, designed to primarily recycle damaged to materials into new materials.
- Nanomaterial Fabricator
Onboard Computer
The onboard systems are controlled by an ECC, the system is desired to be moderately automated but directed with a larger command and control system, such as the Mark 1 Active Repair System. They are not self-aware and do not achieve sentience (another difference from the Astromech's).
Repair Operations
These drones are specifically designed to auto-deploy to damaged areas to performed repairs coordinated by the engineering department or Operations Officer. With the installation of the active repair system, their operations are more targeted. Primarily the drones are designed for repairing larger items where the Mark 1S Drone would be less effective.
