The Hermod Outpost is designed based on information found in the [[Nimbus Station]] ancient database. The station is essentially the same type of facility as the [[Atlantis Class City-Ship]], simply much smaller. Nimbus Station contained a database with extensive engineering blueprints of different facilities, this particular facility is designed as a military / research outpost with a [[Stargate]], living quarters, research laboratories, and two atmospheric domes. The station is self-contained and able to be established on a variety of worlds. Most of these outposts are unmanned, but they are also multi-purpose facilities equipped for scientific research and self-defense.

The station has 3 pylons that come out of the central hull, two pylons have atmospheric domes while the third has the primary subspace array and main sensors. The facility is designed to fill a variety of roles as needed.  While most of the facilities are unmanned, they can also be used as scientific outposts.  The station's garden dome is capable of producing fruits, vegetables, fungi, and other edibles as well as helps maintain life support.  Selections of microbial, insect, and other life are seeded in the garden.
The station's architecture is dominated by a single, colossal triangular-paneled geodesic dome that spans roughly 450 meters across, resting on a thick, heavily armored metallic base. A massive central structural tower runs from the floor of the base all the way to the apex of the dome, acting as the primary load-bearing pillar.

Corridors between the pylons and the central tower as well as surface parts of the station that go between the various towers are left open to the air when applicable.  When the stations are placed in space or in environments with toxic or lacking and atmosphere, [[Quasi-Matter]] is used to seal off open areas and maintain atmosphere.
The interior of the dome houses a sprawling, 39-acre biosphere featuring a central thermal-mass lake, a circulating river system, a towering forest, and manicured parkland. This vast ecosystem naturally scrubs the atmosphere, provides immense psychological benefits for the crew during multi-year deployments, and operates in tandem with high-density hydroponics in the central tower to produce all necessary food and oxygen.

Facilities / Layout

The station's architecture is dominated by a single, colossal triangular-paneled geodesic dome that spans roughly 450 meters across, resting on a thick, heavily armored metallic base. A massive central structural tower runs from the floor of the base all the way to the apex of the dome, acting as the primary load-bearing pillar.

When the station is placed in the vacuum of space or highly toxic environments, the triangular dome segments and Quasi-Matter shielding isolate and protect the delicate internal ecosystems.

  • Extensive Habitation Sectors (Supporting up to 300 personnel)
  • Primary Shuttle Bay (Housed entirely within the thick lower base hull)
  • Hermod Gate (Secured Gate Room in the central base)
  • Apex Command Center (Located at the very top of the central tower for unobstructed 360-degree monitoring)
  • Transporter Rooms (Distributed throughout the Central Tower and Base)
  • 39-Acre Biosphere (Forest, Lake, River, Parkland, and Vertical Agricultural Zones)
  • Circumference Docking Ports (Air-locks and umbilical rings spaced around the outer base)
  • Multiple Fabrication / Engineering Sectors
  • State-of-the-art Science and Research Labs
  • High Output Subspace Relay System (Spire above the Apex Command Center)
  • Extended Long / Short Range Sensors
  • Multinodal Core Capability

Auxiliary Systems

The station is equipped with the Mark 1S Active Repair System and Astromech Droids to maintain the station's systems, clean the facility, and tend to the agricultural zones and biosphere.

Auxiliary Craft

The station's primary shuttle bay is an immense cavern located entirely beneath the forest floor within the station's heavy base, providing acoustic and atmospheric isolation from the biosphere above. Massive, horizontally opening segmented blast doors allow craft to deploy directly outward into space or a planet's atmosphere.
