SPECCOM is a unique branch within the Solas Tempus structure. Since they do primarily clandestine operations under the radar, their agents work often without a net and alone. Teams are often confined to cells to avoid compromising the entire structure, that is when they are not working alone.
Resource Stashes
Throughout known space, Solas Tempus has placed resource stashes. These are different from those used by TEMPCOM Operatives and are instead designed to resupply and outfit a SPECCOM agent for independent operation outside of the chain of command.
Safe Houses
Similarly to the stashes, there are safe houses placed throughout known space. Abandoned facilities are owned and maintained by shell companies which originate back with SPECCOM, these facilities usually serves as resource stashes as well as being a place where agents can rest during extreme situations. Such facilities can be anything from a larger space facility with defenses to small single person dwellings on distant unknown worlds.
Dead Drops
SPECCOM agents maintain a list of locations where dead drops can be made to supply orders, information, and relay information back and forth for command. Since the dead drops are physical locations rather than digital ones, it can be operationally more sound to place information there for pickup than send it digitally.
Deep Echo
The Subspace Deep Echo Array is used to communicate with agents in the field. SPECCOM uses these signals to relay critical information, coded, to agents. Each agent has a code book for deciding these messages, it translates the alpha-numeric signals sent over the deep echo system into actionable instructions. Messages are short and one way. This is an important link between SPECCOM and its agents.
Accounts
SPECCOM has set up working accounts at various agencies both reputable and less-than-such to allow agents to purchase or barter for needed supplies during field operations without arising suspicion. Even within the Federation access to resource credits of various kinds can be incredibly important but also access to accounts which have supplies of Gold Pressed Latinum, Dilithium, or Antimatter to be used as currency attached to them can make the difference between success and failure of missions.
