Every Officer, NCO, and member of Solas Tempus of any rank must recite and promise to uphold the Oath of Service. The oath is taken literally and seen as the central core thesis from which the code of conduct is both created and interpreted. It was developed by Lance Thomas and Candy Poole upon forming the organization in 2360.
Oath
With these words, I take this oath of my own free will and with a clear conscience that I can and will always hold this in the highest honor.
I vow to uphold and protect the laws of Solas Tempus, to defend its honor, and protect its purpose so long as I take breath.
I vow to obey the orders and responsibilities granted to me by Solas Tempus, taking this burden freely and willingly, for all time.
I vow to always protect history in order to save the future, even to give my life for that goal.
I vow that should I be the last person standing in defense of history, I will stand tall and not waver as if all those who have come before me were standing at my back.
I vow to uphold these oaths for myself and for others and we shall never tire, never waver, never give up, and never surrender from our duty.
