Background
Born in the neglected Subbay District of Oasis Station, Seyla Darrin—nicknamed "Fuse"—never had much of a chance at a normal life. Her mother died in a containment breach when Seyla was just 8, leaving her to survive on her own. She fell in with a ganglet known as the Gutter Snakes, where she picked up her nickname for her temper and knack with sparking old tech.
When the group broke apart, she continued on alone, slipping through ducts, looting neglected corners of the station, and keeping off the radar of authorities. At 17, with adulthood and mandatory registration looming, Fuse lives one moment at a time—dodging patrols, stealing meals, and dreaming of escape. She doesn’t know what future she’s after, only that it’s not this.
