The Gleaming Queen completed final shakedown cruise on April 2nd, 2386 after some issues with her warp reactor required secondary outfitting of the ships warp reactor core. Reactor core issues were solved and the vessel was assigned for general use at the Umbral Shipyards. The ships as finally certified for service in November of 2386 and not long after assigned to Vident Obscura, though officially the ship is listed as a research scout ship.
Under the command of Captain Omega Phoenix with Executive Officer and MSAI Commander Victor Mateo Doyle the vessel is currently tasked to aid the covert research facility Tharsis.
Modifications
The vessel has been modified in a few ways.
- High Capacity EPS Grid
- The ships EPS grip has been reinforced to handled approximately 2.35 times the standard amount of power. This includes EPS power taps to all primary systems, especially shields, structural integrity and inertial dampening fields.
- High Output Subspace Field : As part of the ships shield grid, it is also capable of producing a high output subspace field around the ship to prevent internal scans, even when shields are not operating.
- Hermod Gate
- In the main cargo bay a Hermod Stargate has been installed and linked into ships power. Gate access is restricted and unauthorized travelers are redirected to a random unrestricted Class M planet within the gate network.
