Outpost J29 is a Platform Station configured for scientific research on the outskirts of Federation space. The station occupies the center of a 20 lightyear no fly zone maintained by Starfleet. Entry onto the station is not permitted. All possible entry and egress points have been physically sealed and the station's interior filled with a mixture of highly toxic gasses proven fatal to all known forms of life. The station's power source has been removed, although moderate power readings continue to come form the station as if it was still operational.
The 20 light year sphere around the station as well as the station itself if monitored 24/7.

Effects
Going near or boarding the station causes a rapid onset of severe psychological trauma resulting in rapid onset psychosis similar to violent paranoid schizophrenia.
Occasional distress calls will be made by the station, although there is no known life form that could survive aboard the station and there is no known method for powering the stations communications array. Attempts to disable the communications array have been unsuccessful.
