The Toron Class shuttle is a simple sub-light shuttle pod designed for short range courier missions usually between larger vessels. It was originally designed to transport in areas where a transporter was impractical or impossible to use. There is a small cargo area aft by the primary hatch and an emergency transporter system on the flight deck.
Toward the latter half of the 24th century the shuttle pod was being phased out, the Klingon Empire put most of the existing shuttles to the civilian market for use within Klingon space, shortly there after the craft began to be traded between various races and is quite common for light cargo and sub-light cargo vessels. Many of the ships have been outfitted with a jury-rigged warp drive system.
