A lone wolf kind of person, and pretty territorial. Strongly believes that she can handle anything on her own, and that the best way to survive is on one's own. Unless around those who she considers family (like other wolves). She sees working with others to survive is a burden hardly worth the effort (especially if they are not either like her or are not wolves). That being said, she doesn't turn a blind eye to if someone is wounded, she helps them using her knowledge of medicine and wilderness survival, then leaves once she believes they will survive on their own. To others she can seem hard and uncaring or even violent, but that is to hide her true feelings.

Background
Ever since she was born, she has been a survivor. When she was young, she was kept as a pet by a noble family, during that time she ended up learning about medicine and healing, which lead to her being made one of the most prized of her master's pets and servants. She used her skills to help her master's children both healing and playing with them. By many of the children she was seen as more than a pet or nurse, but as family. She however did not see it that way, she wore a collar on her neck and it reminded her that she was underneath the normal humans around her.
Eventually, she found an opportunity to escape while out foraging for healing herbs, and she took it. That was when she was thirteen.
She ran and ran, and eventually found herself lost deep in a nearby forest, she had stopped to rest, and took the time to fuss and eventually remove the collar, some of her clothing was dirtied and damaged but she stopped caring. She quickly encountered a pack of wolves, who despite her fears, took her in and trained her in how to hunt, understand the languages of animals, and how to survive. She quickly came to love understanding her wolf side, and embraced it fully. She used her skills to heal the members of her pack and even learned a few human survival skills by watching the human hunters in the forests.
One day she was drinking from a nearby stream, when she heard a scream, it came from a voice of someone she knew before she ran away, and her instincts told her to go help, which she did. She saved the life of a teenage girl, only a few years younger than herself. After doing so, the girl huged her, she was startled by this and just watched, she did recognize the girl, one of the young children of her former master. She tended to the girl's wounds. The girl was elated to see her and wanted her to come back home. She refused and explained that at the girls home, she didn't belong, but out in the forest, that's where she belonged, running free with those who saw her as an equal to them, the girl teared up, but she stood firm, and from that time forward, remained somewhat cold towards others, except around other wolves. She did still help the children if she encountered them and they were lost or wounded, she would lead them back to the road home, and would tend to their wounds, at times, they droped off gifts for her in the forest, from baked goods, to things to help her stay warm during the winter, to some luxuries, all of which she treasured, but she wouldn't tell anyone about them, and would only look at them in total privacy.
She kind of became a bit of a ghost story, "the wolf with the Golden eye" And some would claim to have seen her, wearing a jacket, gloves and a skirt, some say her hair is black, others say it's dark brown, Some say she's a hybrid, other's say she's just a strange wolf that wanders the forest.
She was fine with being a mystery, forgotten by the world, but eventually her world was turned upside down as she, fell into a strange ripple in time and wound up in a strange new world, separate from her pack, and anything she knew.
