Under general orders from Fleet Admiral Candy Poole a study was commissioned when the Blazing Umbra Station was found in the Schatten Star System. The study was based on the principle that, should a temporal event occur how many facilities would be caught unawares and be unable to respond should a Solas Tempus vessel not be able to reach the area in time. At the time there was a theoretical possibility that a significant event located in one area could, under the right conditions, separate that region from the rest of the timeline and prevent a Solas Tempus vessel from reaching that system in time.
Purpose
To provide key regions with support vessels in the event of a temporal event where no Solas Tempus vessels are available for use. The plan is essentially to provide options for Temporal Operatives and command personnel in the event of extreme circumstances.
Procedure
Essentially Solas Tempus would station, in secret, unmanned vessels ready for immediate deployment. These vessels would remain concealed and classified until they might be needed. They would be periodically upgraded as needed to maintain current readiness - mostly by automation controlled by the HAL computer system.
