Estelle is a gentle and trusting soul, a natural leader who engenders trust from others by being trustworthy herself. She is well mannered and tireless, often described as inexhaustible. When there is a project on her plate, she is the first to arrive and the last to leave until it's done. Although usually cheerful, even when working hard, she tends to be a bit patronizing when talking about a subject she's knowledgeable in. Still, she is open minded and intelligent, inviting the opinions of others and revising / refining her views often.
In her personal life she hates structure and routine, which is always at odds with her work ethic. When free of duty and obligation she is a free spirit who likes to enjoy flying where the wind takes her, full of spontaneity with a craving for adventure. This can be so confusing to those who only know her professional side that one might think they were two different people. When one knows only her personal side, they would have trouble guessing that a Starship Captain exists on the other side of the coin. Unfortunately she does not often get to be this carefree person.
Her quest for adventure has lead her to a professional life where something is always on her plate. The rare moments of peace where she can let her hair down and decompress are precious to her. When on a mission or handed a project, she must see things through to the end at break-neck speed. Estelle will dive head-first into the job at hand and often forget the social and physical niceties of life, putting aside personal comfort for the thrill of making something from nothing.

History
As a young girl on Mars she grew up with Earth as a memory of a place she'd never been for many years. People talked about Earth often but it wasn't until she was in her late teens that she went there herself. Even though so many around her seemed to love Earth as this kind of distant home, a far away starting place, she never did. To her, Mars was her true home, a real home. She never really fit in with anyone else, not that she didn't try, but off-worlders tended to rub her the wrong way in one way or another.
As a teenager she went to Earth many times as part of various work and even lived there for a good few years going to school. She learned to be a professional cabinet maker with a flare for the artistic. Her work took her out of the Terran system and into the galaxy, she always loved to make things with her hands. She took mostly domestic work in peoples homes and for that she was gifted with friends in nearly every star system. At one point in her life she could travel almost anywhere and have a place to stay.
Then the Dominion War came and business dried up pretty much overnight. She had been living close to the Cardassian-Federation DMZ when the Maquis began to make some waves. Having lived on Mars for so long with everyone talking about Earth as if it was better, she almost joined them. Estelle had no stomach for war at the time though. It wasn't until the Breen attacked Earth that she started to see why people were fighting. All that time with people in the DMZ had sewed deep seeded doubts about the Federation. Eventually she found herself on Trocara in the Markab Star System. It was far enough from the war that it would be safe. Somehow she felt as if her cabinet making days were behind her, business dried up, so many of her friends had died in the war and she wanted to escape everything. Solas Tempus assisted in the war effort and were allied with the Federation but the Dominion seemed so far away from them.
She joined Solas Tempus at the age of 22. Her work ethic made her prominent and she came up through the ranks quickly. Eventually she became a Temporal Operative and was granted command of her own ship.
