Background
Dimitra was always a hothead, but her life ended when her family—her parents and sister—were slaughtered at the hands of vampires. Well... not killed, but taken. Their bodies later turned up dead with strange injection marks on their necks. None of it made sense, but the police insisted it was just some freak accident or something.
After grieving, she met up with a friend who began to seduce her, making her swoon and feel like her life was turning around. Then she spotted his fangs. It was an accident at first, but then it all clicked. She waited, and when he least expected it... she killed him, hoping for closure.
That didn’t last. She still felt depressed and helpless—until she was approached by “a man with an opportunity.” No one believed her about the vampire thing, except him. He told her more and gave her a chance to fight back against the ones who got out of line.
She accepted and underwent the soul fusion procedure, binding her body and soul with a fire elemental from the Elemental Plane of Fire. It was intense, but when it was over, she not only survived—she was reborn. She felt fire and power coursing through her: raw and untapped.
This, mixed with her emotional instability from trauma, made her easy to manipulate but hard to control. She adopted the callsign EmberWraith, taken from her YouTube avatar.
She was like a wildfire—difficult to control, wild, chaotic, highly destructive—and often disobedient or demanding special accommodations for her flameproof cell. As a result, she was sent to Los Angeles and placed under Lance Thomas, in hopes of taming her wildfire nature into a proper government asset against supernaturals.
