The STV Phobos, constructed at the Umbral Shipyards in the Schatten Star System, was completed on December 26th, 2385. This formidable vessel, designed for reconnaissance and defensive operations, has undergone several significant modifications to enhance its combat capabilities. These include the installation of an advanced point defense system and the upgrading of shielded plasma turrets with high-powered transfer taps, enabling them to draw power directly from the ship's main Matter/Antimatter reactor and impulse fusion reactors.

In April 2386, Captain Crystal Favor was assigned as the commanding officer of the Phobos. Under her leadership, the ship has not only thrived in its tactical and exploratory missions but also fostered a dynamic and cohesive crew environment. A notable aspect of this environment is the committed relationship between Commander Favor and her executive officer, Commander Tiffany Quinn. Their relationship, based on mutual respect and professional compatibility, has been formally acknowledged and approved by command, setting a precedent for interpersonal dynamics within the ship's hierarchy.

Modifications

The STV Phobos features advanced combat and defensive systems, including 10 strategically placed Plasma Pulse Turrets and an Experimental Deflector Point Defense System, enhancing its combat readiness and defensive capabilities. These turrets, retractable and hidden from scans, are distributed across the ship's saucer for full-range coverage. The upgraded bridge module, with more stations and larger consoles near the command chair, facilitates efficient information processing and decision-making. Commanders Crystal Favor and Tiffany Quinn expertly navigate this influx of data, utilizing the enhanced bridge setup to coordinate the ship's responses and strategies effectively, showcasing their synergy in managing the vessel's advanced technological capabilities.

10 Plasma Pulse Turrets
Fitted to the saucer, 5 dorsal and 5 ventral. They retract into the hull and are shielded from scans until deployed. They are situated forward, port, starboard, and 2 directed aft situated on either side of the hull and on the ventral side and the weapons pod support pylon on the dorsal side.
Experimental Deflector Point Defense System
The primary shield grid is outfitted with additional power to the beam deflectors used while at warp. In addition to providing a static deflector shield, the beam system has been modified with an experimental point defense system.

History

The STV Phobos was initially constructed on December 26th, 2385, specifically designed for reconnaissance and defensive deployment, featuring additional armaments for enhanced combat capabilities. From December 2385 to April 2386, the vessel underwent a period of limited deployment, primarily focused on testing and fine-tuning its experimental systems. In April 2386, following the successful completion of these tests, the Phobos was cleared for active duty, contingent upon undergoing its first refit.

During this initial refit in April 2386, the vessel saw significant upgrades under the supervision of its newly assigned command crew, led by Captain Crystal Favor. Key enhancements included an overhaul of the experimental point defense system, which was replaced with a more reliable and advanced version. Additionally, the shielded plasma turrets were upgraded, incorporating high-powered transfer taps. This modification allowed the turrets to draw power directly from the main M/AM (Matter/Antimatter) reactor and the impulse fusion reactors, significantly boosting their operational efficiency and effectiveness in combat scenarios.
