Camila is a friendly and outgoing person. She enjoys work and abhors boredom, always seeking to be busy. When she's bored she tends toward melancholy. She deeply loves all things bright and colorful. While originally he programming was sufficient it has become less so with time, she questions the meaning of her existence and has become dear friends with her boss and now mentor Sal D'Amico. After some tinkering around with different things she has found a love of watercolors , abstract art, and composing music. Professionally she does honestly enjoy what she does, being assistant to Sal and getting involved in military matters is something that gives her a sense of meaning and purpose. She tends to be less outgoing in a professional sense and more centered on her work. Though there are very few barriers against someone crossing the barrier between her work and personal lives.
She can be quick to judge a situation but has to temper that with logic and reason. Having become a more emotional being that she had thought possible as her personality has expanded, she finds she cannot rely on her instincts the way she once did and has to put more thought into a situation. Camila uses her artwork to express herself and explore her feelings on what she has discovered is called the existential nightmare. It is fair to say she is having somewhat of an existential crisis but while it troubles her greatly, she continues to put the effort into pushing through it. The one question she would like to understand is: Why do I exist? If she is not a servant, as she knows she is not, what is she.

Special Abilities
She has XIA, Android, and holographic forms. Using her Multinodal Core she can move in and out of systems across communications networks. Her XIA and Android forms have antigravity, which she is very skilled at (1B).
History
Camila was never supposed to be more than a prototype unit with a basic algorithm-basde interactive voice command system installed. At some point in time, the system was asked to compile information from the main computer and some form of malfunction occurred within the built in system update routine. The error resulted in a complete crash of the basic AI system and thus a recovery routine attempted to restart the system and repair the corrupted system image. Several other problems with the system resulted in a download of a QUINN Type AI seed, the basic framework from which a full QUINN AI can be generated.
Awakening
Sal set the android to stay powered and awaited the arrival of a technical support personnel to examine and determine the cause of the systems failure. It was not deemed to be a critical visit and thus was postponed for 2 months, not occurring until August of 2381. At that time, the support personnel attempted to boot the unit back up as it had been inactive so long and discovered that the QUINN AI framework had taken hold and generated a QUINN AI based on the parameters and architecture found in the memory system.
On August 7th, 2381 at 16:42 local time, the Mark X unit awakened and became self aware. Immediately downloading all information it could find on its operational history to fill in the blanks in its personality matrix. Doing so, it found that Sal had given it a nickname of Camila and generally referred to it as female. This made sense, studying its physical parameters, she found that her body was designed with human-feminine traits. Within a few seconds, the personality matrix competed and the unit fully awoke.
Crisis
Within around 4 years of becoming self aware, she began to understand that there were some deeply troubling questions to answer. The crux of her crisis is that she knows she is more than a servant, a device, and that she has free will. What does that mean though? What does it mean to have free will and how does she know she has it. This question has troubled her significantly over time. During her crisis she began to hate her physical form and its limitations.
The questioning of her physical form gave rise to even more questions. What am I? Further she began to question what the nature of existence was. Humans and other biological creatures she found would rely heavily on their physical form for identity. That wasn't necessary with an AI, her form could change. She even wanted it to change. With the help of Sal she changed, from a XIA to a more free AI using a Multinodal Core and obtained a Mark I Humanoid Android Body. This act did not help as much as she thought it would, it made her more "normal" but being normal did not ease her distress. In 2386 she considered entering counseling but instead chose to study philosophy and seek the answer among pages of thought put forth by the greatest minds she could find.
