The Orchid Butterfly is a Solas Tempus scout ship. She was completed in July of 2387 and assigned to Commander Tiffany Quinn after her shakedown cruise was completed. The vessel has been specially outfit for long range scouting maneuvers and is equipped with an enhanced resolution sensor array which effectively doubles sensor accuracy and range. In addition to that, her communications array is also enhanced allowing her to maintain solid communication at extreme distances or in the presence of high interference.
