The Daedalus Class ship redesign of the Comet Class, a combat cruiser from the Earth-Romulan War before the signing of the Federation Charter. In service for Starfleet for many years (2160-2169) the ship was the first exploratory vessel built for Starfleet after the Earth-Romulan war.
In the modern era, Solas Tempus has upgraded the ship to be used as a repair / construction vessel. She has been equipped to carry extra fuel and has high powered tractor beams, transporters, and other support systems. She also has been outfitted with additional medical facilities to operate as a triage and hospital ship if needed.
