Kallista follows her people's religious and moral code to the letter, and thus generally doesn't get along well with those who disagree with her beliefs- but she tries her best to anyways. House Altamir has enough enemies. While generally a friendly- though emotionally distant- person, she doesn't really get close to anyone.

Special Abilities

Kallista is a rare case in the Altamir Pathfinder Corps. She has some affinity for magic, and thus can fire without needing to let her Electrum charge- though it physically drains her.

Special Skills

She has training in evasion and tracking, espionage, melee and especially ranged combat. All in all a force to be reckoned with.

Special Equipment

She is armed with an Elite Pathfinder Electrum Rifle, which I'll just refer to as "her rifle". Because that's a mouthful. The rifle itself resembles some sort of musket, only with a breech loading system since it fires magic bolts of conflagration. It's loaded with an Electrum slug that has enough charge for 25 shots before needing to be replaced and recharged. The rifle itself also requires a cooling down, only allowing for 4 shots per minute unless Kallista uses her magical affinity to boost this to six shots. Any more and she passes out.

A ring bayonet hangs under the barrel, about seven inches long and made of the finest Altamir steel. The rifle is reinforced so it can be used as a club or bludgeon without damage to the weapon.

Her armor is made of mithral so that it is light and just as strong as steel. It has also been enchanted for minor projection, providing resistance to both physical and magical attacks.

Background

Kallista is from the isles of Streydon, more specifically she is from one of the smallest houses on the eastern island: House Altamir. She's a cousin of the House's head family, however her own family are not exactly famous for that.

Kallista enlisted in the Altamir military, as most House citizens do around the age of sixteen. She trained as a pathfinder, armed with a bow and arrow to locate supply dumps of enemy forces during the ongoing- and expensive- war to keep Altamir as an independent House.

You see, House Altamir are the only ones who know how to make Electrum on the whole Eastern isle. It's an advantage they do not take lightly, and Electrum weapons are given out only to those the head family deems worthy. War heroes, generals, and the like.

Kallista got her Pathfinder rifle, and a ticket into the Elite Pathfinders after she discovered an enemy supply depot with enough food and assorted equipment to sustain the war effort for at least three months. After both finding it and helping to capture it, she was recommended for a promotion.

From then on, Kallista served with the Elite Pathfinders and used her special equipment to great success. Two more supply depots and an enemy scouting party captured all within a year of each other and Kalli had become a celebrity.

As such, she had extra responsibilities. Showing up at events to raise morale, galas and the like. Much less fun than fighting, but a necessity. Soon enough though, the head family realized that more help would be needed if House Altamir was to survive the forty-six year long war.

And so they sent their most trusted Pathfinder to find help in the far away lands of the mainland.
