Hope is named after the starship the INV New Hope, having been assigned there prior to the ALFRE act of 2384. She has chosen to stay on board and has formed an affinity for the droids that also serve about the ship. She acts as the intermediary between command and the ships droids, most of whom also qualify for protection under the same act.
