The Twilight Odyssey began life as a civilianized Romulan shuttle frame, specifically a Tetiana Class Runabout, obtained through surplus channels following the reunification era. Over several years, owner Evelyn D. Frazure extensively modified the vessel into a self-sufficient mobile apartment capable of supporting long-duration deployments away from starbases. While outwardly appearing as a modest transport vessel, the Twilight Odyssey conceals several military-grade systems retained from its Romulan heritage. The vessel serves as both Evelyn's permanent residence and operational headquarters when traveling between independent security contracts.
Offensive Systems
- **Light Disruptor Arrays:** Two concealed disruptor emitters providing limited offensive capability. They are intentionally underpowered compared to military Romulan vessels to comply with civilian regulations, intended primarily for pirate deterrence, wildlife defense, and emergency combat situations.
Defensive Systems
- **Deflector Shield System:** A modified civilian shield grid boasting high efficiency, excellent endurance, and strong protection against debris. Its primary weakness is that it cannot withstand prolonged military engagement.
- **Plasma Defense Launcher:** A single aft-mounted launcher capable of chaff deployment, sensor decoys, defensive plasma charges, and an emergency flare launch system.
- **Romulan Cloaking Device:** A restricted Class-3 cloaking device allowing for visual concealment, sensor masking, and passive observation. It consumes high power, requires periodic maintenance, and weapons cannot be fired while cloaked. Evelyn rarely advertises its existence due to legal restrictions.
Capabilities
- **Primary Roles:** Mobile Residence, Security Operations Support, Personal Transport.
- **Secondary Roles:** Cargo Hauling, Covert Reconnaissance, VIP Transport, Emergency Evacuation.
- **Propulsion & Power:** Powered by an Artificial Quantum Singularity and impulse engines/warp drive. Cruising speed of Warp 4.5 and a maximum speed of Warp 5.2.
- **Multipurpose Cargo Bay:** Occupies the entire aft section with modular systems and tie-down points. It can be dynamically configured into multiple modes:
- Cargo Mode: For transporting equipment, supplies, and contracted freight.
- Gym Mode: Open floor area with deployable exercise equipment.
- Briefing Mode: Tables and holographic projectors deployed for team meetings.
- Guest Quarters Mode: Temporary sleeping accommodations for up to four guests.
- Workshop Mode: Includes a small workshop area for repairs and equipment maintenance.
