The groups signed a treaty in 2358 that formed the basis for trade, shared governance, and a non-aggression pact.
Recent events, however, revealed that a group of raiders had been manipulating both factions, fueling a conflict over resources and pushing the planet into a humanitarian crisis. The arrival of Astral Wardens Samual Hawthorn and Pip-Girl in 2390 exposed the raiders' manipulation and led to a tentative truce between the factions. Although the immediate humanitarian crisis has subsided, the system remains under a travel advisory due to the ongoing political instability and the potential for renewed conflict. Unarmed vessels and individuals are advised not to enter the system without escort.

Eirene is a harsh Class H desert world with a thin atmosphere (0.90 atm), extreme temperature fluctuations (-10°C to 40°C), and a scarcity of surface water. Despite these challenges, it is home to approximately 50,000 colonists, divided between the agricultural Harvester's Alliance and the industrial Foundry Compact. Initially, these factions collaborated on minor terraforming efforts to improve the planet's habitability. However, a shift in leadership within the Foundry Compact in 2380 led to escalating tensions, culminating in open conflict in 2386. A series of escalating skirmishes, fueled by misinformation and manipulation by a mysterious group of raiders, plunged the planet into a devastating war.
The arrival of Astral Wardens Samual Hawthorn and Pip-Girl in 2390 revealed that the raiders were actively exploiting the conflict for profit, supplying both sides with weapons and sabotaging relief efforts. Their investigation exposed a conspiracy within the Foundry Compact, leading to the arrest of the Chief Science Officer and the assassination of the CEO. The subsequent raider attack on Vulcan's Forge was repelled with the unexpected assistance of the Harvester's Alliance, prompting a tentative truce between the two factions.
