Space and Time Travel
A TARDIS uses a Dematerialisation Circuit to enter and exit the Time Vortex. By traveling through the Time Vortex the TARDIS and jump to anywhere in space or time. However if the Relative Differentiator isn't working it can only travel in time but not space.
A TARDIS can travel like a conventional spacecraft, but doing so for prolonged periods could damage the TARDIS.
Severe Time Distortions will make it impossible to land a TARDIS without a signal to lock onto.
Power Source
The Eye of Harmony is a Star frozen in time right before becoming a black hole. While the actual Eye of Harmony was used to power Gallifrey, each TARDIS is equipment with a mathematical replicate.
Exploratory vs Military
Most TARDISes are only built to explore how ever there have been records of Military TARDISes armed with time torpedoes.
Dimensionally Transcendental
A TARDIS is Bigger on the Inside by using "dimensional dams", witch upon a TARDIS death can leak through causing the inside to move outside the dead TARDIS.
Chameleon Circuit
When landing a TARDIS scans the near by area and choices the best thing to appear as upon materializing.
Living Machines
Organic Machines
Normal AI can't handel the Time Distrotion that a TARDIS can put them throu. So an Organic Intellengic System is in place.
Sentiant Machines
TARDIS are so complex in contrution they take on a degree of snetince and even can take independent action. TARDISs often even mourned their Time Lord poilets and commonly commited suicided by flying into a sun or hurling them selves into the Time Vortex.
Security Features
If any one other then it's owner or know companions of said owner would attempt to use it. The TARDIS would assault there minds and even cause memory lose of things relating to the TARDIS.
If the TARDIS needs more power rooms can be jettisoned to provide it.
Siege mode can be activated to trun the TARDIS into a cube with no entrances or exits
