In the following, his abilities are named like the rituals the sect performed on him:

Shadow's Accompany: Slyser can hide inside a shadow and teleport within them (only to places he has already been to).
Dark Herald: Slyser can leave messages in the shadows, only being visible for those intended to be read, other "Shadows Executioners" or those possessing the ability to see energy streams.
Ritual of Bound Twins: He maintains a mental link to his parabatai (some sort of fighting companion). Ivy Minya, a strong mage and another Executioner, is the opposite side of this link. At the moment, the link is inactive, since Ivy is not exist in this universe.
Shadow's Relief: His wounds, once healed, disappear completely. The speed he heals in does not change.

Background

He was kidnapped as a child by a sect of elves, who raised him as a fighter and assassin, with 10 other children. These children got the name “Shadows Executioners”, when they got older. The sect practiced black magic on him. He worked for the sect and killed several opponents of them for them, like political enemies, leader of religious rivals, or people, who refused to follow the sect’s orders. When he found out, that he was kidnapped, he tried to kill the entire sect, but failed. He, and his parabatai, a strong mage called Ivy, tried to rescue their fellows. She guided them out of the headquarter of the sect, while he tried to wipe out the sect. It’s unknown to him if she succeeded. He always hopes she will find him, and he looks for her, too. However, the grandmaster defeated him. He was injured and left somewhere to die. But he survived. Now, he wants to get stronger and his revenge.
