Unlike other augmentations, which are achieved through cybernetics, these are achieved through bioengineered changes to the body - without the use of technology. Although it is achieved using biology, the effects are the same as those achieved through cybernetics.

History
Conscripted into the Spartan II program at age 9, he was put through intense physical training, at age 13, he went through an augmentation process, of which half of his comrades did not survive. He was sent on his first combat mission at 20 in his Mark V MJOLNIR armor.
