The Miranda Class is classified as a destroyer, designed in the early-mid 23rd century. One of the earliest ships to begin [[Starfleet]]'s refit processes of updating existing fleet designs, the same initiative that lead to the [[Constitution Refit Class]] Starship. For a mixture of destroyer and light carrier duties, with two large shuttle bays in the rear which can be defended by the rear photon torpedo pods.
