The DRX-23 Tetryon Pulse Rifle is a prototype high powered energy heavy assault weapon.

Power Source

It uses high energy plasma power-packs in conjunction with a non-linear subspace infused particle accelerator to produce high energy tertyon particles. As the particles destabilize being exposed to normal space they cause significant damage or both matter and energy fields in their wake.

Operation

It supports multiple modes, single shot, burst firing, and full auto pulse modes. As well as a particle beam mode, sniper pulse mode, and explosive pulse mode. It is considered to be an extremely deadly weapon. Power packs can contain a variety of different high energy plasma types and the weapon is capable of adapting its particle accelerators to accommodate this.
