The Phobos was constructed at the Umbral Shipyards in the Schatten Star System, construction for this ship completed on December 26th, 2385 and in 2386 the vessel was assigned to Commander Crystal Favor.
When Crystal Favor was assigned the vessel it underwent some minor refits. The ship is now equipped with 9 extendable plasma turrets located along the saucer, 5 dorsal and 4 ventral located at cardinal positions forward, aft, port, and starboard. On the dorsal section, the turrets are arranged on either side of the pylon for the weapons pod. In addition the deflector shield grid along the entire vessel has been upgraded to allow it to operate as an active point defense system. Additional high output power distribution conduits and other support systems provide direct power output from the ships primary and secondary grids for the new armaments.
