This is a relatively small star system with a single planet, Eirene, which has been lightly colonized by two different groups: the Harvester's Alliance (agriculturalists) and the Foundry Compact (industrialists). The groups signed a treaty in 2358 that formed the basis for trade, shared governance, and a non-aggression pact.

Recent events, however, revealed that a group of raiders had been manipulating both factions, fueling a conflict over resources and pushing the planet into a humanitarian crisis. The arrival of Astral Wardens Samual Hawthorn and Pip-Girl in 2390 exposed the raiders' manipulation and led to a tentative truce between the factions. Although the immediate humanitarian crisis has subsided, the system remains under a travel advisory due to the ongoing political instability and the potential for renewed conflict. Unarmed vessels and individuals are advised not to enter the system without escort.

Eirene is a harsh Class H desert world with a thin atmosphere (0.90 atm), extreme temperature fluctuations (-10°C to 40°C), and a scarcity of surface water. Despite these challenges, it is home to approximately 50,000 colonists, divided between the agricultural Harvester's Alliance and the industrial Foundry Compact. Initially, these factions collaborated on minor terraforming efforts to improve the planet's habitability. However, a shift in leadership within the Foundry Compact in 2380 led to escalating tensions, culminating in open conflict in 2386. A series of escalating skirmishes, fueled by misinformation and manipulation by a mysterious group of raiders, plunged the planet into a devastating war.

The arrival of Astral Wardens Samual Hawthorn and Pip-Girl in 2390 revealed that the raiders were actively exploiting the conflict for profit, supplying both sides with weapons and sabotaging relief efforts. Their investigation exposed a conspiracy within the Foundry Compact, leading to the arrest of the Chief Science Officer and the assassination of the CEO. The subsequent raider attack on Vulcan's Forge was repelled with the unexpected assistance of the Harvester's Alliance, prompting a tentative truce between the two factions. -This is a desert world with a handful of agricultural and industrial colonies, there is virtually no surface water (less than 1%) but there are extensive underground aquifers and moderately sized polar ice caps.  The average surface temperature is -15 C and a surface pressure of 91.4 kPa or 0.90 atmospheres.  The surface itself is generally cold fluctuating between roughly -10 and 40 C.  The dry conditions cause problems agricultural endeavors and the agricultural collective, Harvester's Alliance, has been in a dangerous conflict with the Foundry Compact.  The Compact technically settled the planet first in 2342 while the Alliance settled on a different continent in 2358.  Initially both groups worked together as some minor terraforming was in their best interests.  This involved increasing the relative humidity and bringing the nitrogen / oxygen levels into a better balance and both groups worked together until 2380 when the Compact came under new leadership.  Since 2380 the colonies have been in a state of cold-war, tensions broke into violence in 2386 and an armed conflict has been escalating ever since.  There are calls within the Federation to send aid immediately, but the Federation is timid to deploy aid so close to the Romulan boarder.  The Serenity Concord has sent medical aid to the planet, but latest report the supplies were exhausted far earlier than expected.
