Edward, mostly just called ''Bo'' by his friends, is a likable guy, fearless but blunt. He tells it ''how it is'' or rather how he sees things. He's a bit egocentric thinking he's always right, or at least mostly right. When backed into a corner he'll admit to being wrong but other than that, holds his head up like he owns the place. Generally easy-going and well mannered he makes friends easily and keeps them just as easily except no one gets too terribly close. Personally he's regimented with set routines and doesn't like change in the spaces and things he controls and within his inner circle of life. He's a gentle soul though, clever, and rarely gets angry. Though most of the time he respects the rules when they get in the way he has an easy time disregarding them being a bit of a thrill-seeker the idea of maybe getting into trouble is exciting. | Edward, mostly just called ''Bo'' by his friends, is a likable guy, fearless but blunt. Edward lacks in adaptability at times but more than makes up for it in charisma, professionally he is well respected and well liked. Though he has seen some indications of reckless behavior which has held him back somewhat. Background
There isn't a lot to say about Bo's early life, he comes from an average family. Born on Luna orbiting Earth he showed early aptitudes toward athletics, particularly wrestling and hockey. Graduated near the top end of his high school class he had little interest in military service. Bo always liked space though, it gave him a feeling of freedom to be out there among the stars, so he signed up with a transport service and ran cargo and passengers, though mostly passengers. He was promoted several times and generally the people he would shuttle back and forth liked him. Life was pretty good, he enjoyed his work, had a personal life that was fulfilling until the Dominion War broke out.
His transport company ended up volunteering to run supplies and personnel over boarders from Starfleet Intelligence. Things went bad really quick and he ended up in a fire fight with a damaged ship, and no support. Starfleet had assured his superiors that they would back him up if he came under fire but when the time came, he sent out the required signal and no one showed up. Finally he ended up evading the Dominion until he crash landed on a small moon in the Cardassian-Federation DMZ. Surviving on rations and what little vegetation there was on the small moon for about a month or so before he got picked up by a group of Klingons who set down on the moon to repair a damaged field coil. They almost shot him thinking he was a changeling, probably would have if he hadn't offered for them to test his blood.
After that he tried to go back to his life before but was restless. He went from job to job wanting very little to do with the Federation. Eventually he found his way to Markab Prime and still listless he started to realize he was spending a lot of his time around security officers, in fact most of his friends were security people -- at least security people in training. When some of his friends were talking about shipping out, he joined.
