Urist is a stocky man with a long brown beard, deep-set eyes, bushy eyebrows and a large scar on his forehead. He wears a bronze-and-adamantite, ornately decorated pressure suit at all times, with a special slot for his beard.
Personality
Urist deeply respects law, loyalty, family, friendship, truth, artwork, skill and hard work. He places a certain degree of value on martial prowess, cooperation, fairness, independence, stoicism, commerce, merriment, leisure time and perseverance. He has no respect for nature. He is mildly xenophobic, especially to elves or any similar beings.
Special Skills
He is an expert marksman, craftsman and metalworker. He built his ship and weapons from scratch. He uses a crossbow, battle axe, pickaxe and whip as his main weapons. He is also capable of fashioning weapons from random items.
Special Abilities
Being a dwarf, Urist’s liver is several times larger than a human’s, and as such he can ingest far more alcohol than what humans can ingest. Being a dwarf, he cannot get through the working day without alcohol. If he doesn’t consume alcohol hourly, he collapses in a coma. As a dwarf, Urist can enter a martial trance when in combat with multiple foes, which allows him to hit with extreme precision and dodge attacks with ease. Occasionally, he is struck with a “Strange Mood,” A flash of inspiration that consumes his mind and makes it impossible for him to do anything else but work on it.
Background
Urist was born to Helga McStrongstarhammer and Tak McStrongstarhammer on a desolate desert planet populated by stellar necromancers and various raving monstrosities. Non content with being regularly seized and raised to the ground, Urist cobbled together a spaceship and set off to parts unknown. While searching the stars, he came across the legendary statue PLANEPACKED, and decided to travel to another time and place to flaunt the superiority of dwarf kind in everyone’s faces.
