Torunn is often considered to be a joy to have around, happy and cheerful most of the time. She's good at heart wanting the best for everyone, loyal though not to a fault. She has a clear knowledge of when she has to take care of herself. She's deeply passionate, especially when it comes to making people happy and the art of healing. She can be highly rebellious, though she respects the law and even counts on it, she bucks against any rules which she can break. She's very competitive and can quickly becoming irritated when she's behind.
In her personal life she loves to be near the center of attention but not at the center itself. She is playful and enjoys flirting just for its own sake, rarely wanting anything other than a little fun. She makes friends easily even if she sometimes has to be a bit forceful to get there. With a deep loathing of having enemies she can be a bit vain when people see her in a bad light, it bothers her.
Professionally she has a tendency to be overly authoritarian when in charge of things with an instinctive sense of discipline that can be overdeveloped at time. She tries to present herself as an authority through a formal tone when she's leading, though she prefers not to be the sole leader but rather an advisor. Her tendencies toward discipline and authoritarian leadership frighten her a bit and make her uncomfortable.

History
Torunn was created testing a new hardware revision of the XIA units. The idea was to test out a new flight configuration for the anti-gravity generators. Testing stopped with Torunn became self aware. Since becoming self aware she has chose to work in the medical bay of Nimbus Station, as a nurses aid. She routinely makes rounds of patients, scanning and making sure that anyone under care is alright as well as adjusting medications and generally keeping up communications with the patients. She will often use he holographic projectors to entertain or attempt to cheer up anyone who needs.
While how up in the air the status of AI's and XIA's in particular bothered her for a long time, when the ALFRE Act passed it was like a weight lifted off of her shoulders. She had no idea how much tension he carried worrying about what would happen until it was gone. Since then she has studied medicine in hopes of becoming a nurse practitioner or doctor one day. For now she's enjoying the freedom of being legally protected.
