There are a variety of resources available to Temporal Operatives in the field.
Resource Stashes
Throughout the timeline of various worlds, or in deep space, there are resource caches which serve as emergency reserves for Temporal Operatives. The locations of these are changed as needed by TEMPCOM, and HAL maintains an active map of every resource stash, updated dynamically over BlueNet. Operatives in the field can locate an available stash location at any time, if a direct connection to HAL is unavailable, one may be obtained through the Pandoric Interface.
Information Drops
Since communication over BlueNet can cause issues with causality, each Temporal Operative is assigned a drop-location when being sent into the field. They are assigned a primary, secondary, and tertiary drop location. These locations are temporary and serve only during a particular mission, they can be both physical and digital depending on the mission itself. They serve as a way for TEMPCOM to relay information to and receive information from operatives during missions that can often times be safer to potential temporal changes than establishing a direct networking link.
Extraction Locations
In the event that an emergency extraction is required, there are sites throughout known space where facilities have been set up to signal for an immediate extraction from that point in space and time. This is meant to be a last-resort for an Temporal Operative to return to their time of origin. Use of such a facility will require explanation.
Temporal Associates
Through various clandestine means, most time periods and major population centers have a certain number of Temporal Associates these are natives to a particular place and time who receive instructions and compensation for tasks from Temporal Operatives in the field. Associates are never told what they are doing or why, they are simply compensated to do specific tasks. Some operate safe houses, others deliver information to and from drop locations. A given area can have a great number of these associates, each associate is isolated from the others.
Protocols are also in place to prevent associates from communicating with each other and discovering the nature of their tasks. Whenever possible, different tasks of the same mission are completed by entirely separate associates. Due to potential problems with causality violations and information leakage, only a fully trained Temporal Operative is permitted to make contact with an associate.
