The Dragons Fire completed construction in November of 2385 and completed its final shakedown cruise in January of 2386. Later that same month Alice Wensley was assigned to the vessel as the ships master AI. Once connected to the system Alice was allowed to operate the ship solo while the engineers were aboard to familiarize herself with the ships systems. In February of 2386 the ship was initially assigned as a fast courier running messages, personnel, and materials betweens secure facilities. Upon the return of Lance Thomas, he requested the vessel be assigned to him.

In August of 2387 with the launch of the STV Rautha Skathi, the position of MSAI and Executive Officer was given to Exia Kaethe.
