Personal Remote Sensor

From Solas Tempus DB

The personal remote sensor is a handheld disk-shaped device approximately 4cm in diameter. The device is a modular sensor unit mounted onto an SVR, simple control processor, and transceiver. Designed for covert uses, the device has an approximate range of 2200 km. The device uses overlapping magnetic fields to attach itself toe even non-ferromagnetic materials, though the system works best with metallic substances to attach to. Once secured the unit is activated, though it has status lights they default to off within a few seconds of being activated.

Operational Modes

  • Off
The device is fully powered down.
  • Standby Mode
The device is minimally powered on, sensor and transmitter are powered off until signaled.
  • Passive Mode
Device does not emit any sensor signals and only receives.
  • Active Mode
Device is operating as a full sensor / scanner remote, actively emitting sensor signals for detection, imaging, and analysis.
  • Relay Mode
Sensor element is powered down and transceiver actively relays received signals fitting programmed criteria.

Transmission Modes

  • Standby
Transmitter only activated if a signal is received to do so.
  • Active
Transmitter uses a continuous subspace connection to relay live data.
  • Burst
Sensor records are recorded locally and bursted at a specified interval or when storage is full.
