Despite being active for thousands of years at this point in the timeline, very little historical records exist to give a clear picture on what Meritites was like as a person. However, the lack of records is telling in of herelf; and, what does exist can help us construct a very broad picture.
Meritites is a being that highly nonconfrontational and highly conformative in her outward appearance. She outwardly adopts the speech, mannerisms and beliefs that are most common in whatever region she is in. She has thousands of names, but none you would recognize; because- at her core: she does not want to be.
She does not want to be recognized. She does not want to do anything worth recording. She is not a being that uses her abiological immortality to shape history to her whims. It does not shape history, she experiences history. And she experiences it not in the halls of power- it avoids those, but below- with the mostly illiterate masses that will have written not of the strange woman they met.
To the extent that her personal beliefs can be inferred, she was built in a world characterized by theocratic monarchism and one that arguably remained that way until the time of her disappearance. She never seemed to oppose this system in any way, and is known to gravitate towards polities ruled by such systems (even when alternatives were available). It is possible she never shook the beliefs initially instilled it in by the Pharaohdom of Egypt.
This might explain her seemingly contradictory work for Onix.

Special Skills
- The subject is a master at disguising itself amongst the local populace and has a whole host of skills related to that purpose. Some of these includes painting itself to blend into local skin tones and mimicking the local speech. In the case where she is unable to get documents legitimately- as legitimate as she is while lying to authorities, she is perfectly willing to forge them- though she will typically try other avenues first.
Special Equipment
- It often carries bottles of holy water and the like, using them as a source of magic to power itself. Clothing and style typical of the local population is also something she keeps on herself.
Background
According to all known reports, Meritites that would later be known by many names would at first be known by the name “Meritites'”.
Created by the Ancient Egyptian polymath Imhotep late into the reign of Pharaoh Djoser, it is presumed that Meritites early development was spent in Imhotep’s workshop under the Heliopolis Temple Complex- mostly hidden from the public. Her first recorded appearance was her meeting with the newly ascended Pharaoh Sekhemkhet, afterwards she spent most of her time in the Royal Palace.
Sekhenkhet did not reign for long, soon being replaced by the Pharaoh Nekba. The relationship between Meritites and Nekba is not known; what is known is that early into his reign Meritites would leave the Royal Palace and later Egypt entirely to “retrace the Journey of Isis”.
Meritites traveled the world, quickly making a habit of avoiding the halls of power. At first her presence is mostly confined to the Ancient Middle East but it does not take her long to branch outwards. Exploring the entire world, though mostly sticking the areas with centralized states.
She is known to have returned to Egypt on numerous occasions, likely first around 2200 BCE where her most notable action during the collapse of Egyptian civilization was to ensure that the memory of Imhotep was kept alive. After doing little to actually help, she left to continue her journey anew.
It is not known when Meritites was initially contacted by Onyx or how they convinced an AI that working for them would be in her best interest. Either as an unknowing pawn or true believer in the cause, several anomalies can ultimately be traced back to her. Her tendency to blend in with the crowd made tracking down the culprit a very difficult task. It was a kukulkanologist with an interest in the work of Imhotep that initially suggested Meritites involvement. Further investigation would prove her guilt, and thus started the planning for Operation Sea Peoples.
Operation Sea Peoples had two objectives. The first and primary one was to stop Meritites from creating any more anomalies. The second one was to capture Meritites and get any information she had on Onyx and their operations.
Blue Team ultimately failed in her attempt to capture Meritites and it was thus assumed that the first objection had failed as well, and that another operation had to be mounted.
However, when no new anomalies could be traced back to Meritites. The plans for a second operation were ultimately put on hold, though the warrant for her capture remains active.
And so Meritites continued as she always did- sans temporal anomalies. She continued traveling beneath the pen of history with only the scantest records occasionally hinting at her existence.
And these records stop for almost 40 years during the 1600s to the year 2025.
The period between her return and the Third World War is a topic of continuing research.
