Kevin is the family disappointment, living in Brooklyn, New York. He has a lot of family connections which allow him to access considerably resources. He is, generally speaking, a self-made screwup. He refuses all forms of responsibility from his parents or any other sources, something which has also lead him to not having many friends even outside of his own community. By his age he is generally seen is someone who is always going to be a problem for any family. Although extremely intellectual and able to understand and act politically and to a fair amount of financial and legal success for his endeavors, he does not try without a purpose and a purpose is something he lacks. His fathers attempts to cut him off of the family money have recently lead him to some very dangerous places. Again, however, he seemly lacks the ability to care about what kinds of dangerous situation is gets himself into and simply goes with it regardless of the danger. While some would say that he is too stupid to understand his danger, he does, and just doesn't see a point in caring.
History
Kevin was conceived by John and Ashley Allen while they were both still human. As a young child both his parents were turned and Kevin was largely raised by the family nanny, who was a house slave of the parents. She tried to raise him with an understanding of kindness and heart. Though often she was forced to put the boy in situations where he would learn the opposite on orders one or the other parents. Both tried to use Kevin's upbringing to both toy with the other parent and prove points to the society at large on how ruthless they could be even with their own children.
Although a very promising youth even throughout private school Kevin has always had issues dealing with authority. Going through school he would have done much better if he had learned to accept and understand that authority is something he did not have. Instead of doing that he constantly tested authority to the extreme, finding ways to act out, get into trouble. Thanks to his family connections he was never expelled from school but his marks showed his lack of commitment to school and his future.
After getting out of school he briefly did quite well in business, successfully running a number of small but respectable businesses in the Manhattan area and even expanding some basic services to lower income areas such as dry cleaning and a few small cafe's in the surrounding middle-class areas. Usually the success in these businesses were due to a cut-throat mentality and the ability to plan ways to exploit the local population to the highest degree they would carry and keep him in business.
During this time he met a girl named Alice Smith. They fell in deep love with each other and she constantly railed at his business practices and how he exploited people often offering a viewpoint which was unfamiliar to him - the viewpoint of someone who didn't have wealth or opportunity. He began to suspect that she was not simply from a wealthy but distant family from the west coast (in California) very early on but didn't care all that much. It wasn't until the fateful night that he was to purpose marriage that she told him that she was a slave. Kevin agreed to marry her anyway but after his father found out about the situation he called in her original master, who then pushed her off the building claiming she committed suicide.
After this Kevin went into a deep depression and since then he has not found any call to be anything but a thorn in his families side using his considerable intelligence and skill to do that, and only that while living a self destructive lifestyle.
Family
Kevin comes from an extremely wealthy family. His family is the peak of a society where they feel that those below them economically deserve to be there. His father, John Allen is a cut through businessman well known as a terror of the stock market and feared for his predilection toward hostile takeovers of every sort. He is cut throat in the extreme and likes being that way. Kevin's mother, Ashley Allen always appears to be the softer sort but is the perfect match for Edward. Where in business Edward kills without a second though and will take everything anyone has with enough opportunity Alice does the same socially. She is known in social circles as the queen bee who you can't let near your social assets but you can't deal in the social scene without dealing with her. Either you will run into her or she will seek you out.
