Background
Born and raised a human, she always loved investigating things, and carried around a notepad for taking notes on any leads she found, and what she learned. Pretty soon she ended up becoming a blogger, known for investigative reports. She started hearing about some strange occurrences happening in Chicago, so she grabbed her suitcases and hopped into her car and started driving out to Chicago to to find out what's going on.
On the drive out however, she thought she saw something crossing her path, this caused her to swerve and crash into the trees off of the road, and fell unconscious. That was when she was taken from the accident deeper into the forest, and where she would suddenly awake a gargoyle.
