Background

Ceanndána was born in the heart of the Dark Aether, a realm cloaked in perpetual twilight and consumed by a never-ending war between the dark races and the fey caught in the backlash. In this brutal environment, she was an anomaly. The energies of the Dark Aether seeped into her during her gestation, leaving a mark that set her apart from her goblin kin. Her skin was not the typical shade of green, but a foreboding dark gray, and her hair was an unsettling crimson red.

From a young age, Ceanndána exhibited an innate hunger for strength and power that differed from the usual cunning and stealth of goblins. Her desires were unknowingly fueled by a hidden ability—if she killed and consumed the flesh of another living creature, she would absorb their abilities. This power, while latent, subtly influenced her mind, driving her to become more formidable with each passing day.

Despite her uniqueness, Ceanndána felt increasingly isolated among her goblin warband. She yearned for more than the rigid hierarchies of the dark races and sought to escape their yoke. One fateful night, after a particularly harrowing battle with the light fey, she made the daring decision to leave her warband behind. Her departure was a desperate bid to find a way to harness her power and grow stronger but on her own terms.

Ceanndána's journey beyond the borders of the Dark Aether was perilous. Alone and vulnerable, she faced countless challenges. She honed her combat skills and learned greatly even from her numerous deaths.

One fateful night, while pursuing her relentless quest for power, Ceanndána stumbled upon a mysterious rift in the fabric of her dark realm. Without hesitation, she stepped through, unaware of the world that lay on the other side. To her astonishment, she found herself in Elder Soteria, a realm that, while troubled, was a stark contrast to the hellish landscape she had left behind.

On the other side she discovered a world where conflict existed, but it was not the sole driving force of existence. Inhabitants of this land were diverse, and she marveled at the beauty and serenity that existed amidst the turmoil. What she marveled at the most was that this plane of existence was bountiful with both flora and fauna to hunt and eat. She did not gain much strength from them but it was nice to easily be able to sate her appetite.

She was not welcomed by the inhabitants of these strange lands, they were smaller and less magical than the fey she was used to fighting but far more numerous. Soon she learned to travel on her own and picked up some of the language while eavesdropping on traveling humans.
