Ba'lam is strong in mind and stubborn. she never knew any other race or people outside of the klingon people that took her in, as such she's fully dedicated to the ways of the warrior, in matters of combat. she has always had to work hard to become a capable warrior, and now that she is a very capable warrior she rarely backs down from a challenge and is unafraid to put someone in their place with relative ease. Background
Not much is known about her past or where she originally came from. Her most recent memory was of her adopted Klingon family, being raised in a distant colony deep in the empire. She grew quickly and learned the ways of the warrior. She looked up greatly to her Father who was a retired member of the honor guard, and had a deep reverence for his armor. He taught her how to fight, about honor and methods of combat. Even though to many Klingons she was and forever would be a runt, not possessing the natural battle strength or prowess of even half-blood Klingons.
This had discouraged her at a young age but thanks to her parents, it became a driving force for her to become tougher and stronger, and that is exactly what she became. Her body grew taller and stronger as she continued to grow up, eventually she ended up growing over six feet tall, and had a body shape that showed her exceptional physical prowess.
She became a top contender in youth Bat'leth competitions, and that continued as she grew. She had a few potential suitors attempt to propose to her, none of which actually had the skills to prevent her from rejecting them in her own way... which usually involved flipping them onto their backs / heads and walking away. Eventually she came of age and went though the rights to become a warrior.
After that she was taught how to create her own weapons and armor, as well as additional training in use of weapons. This made her stronger as time went on. eventually she was ready to go on her own and she made, with her father's approval, an armor similar to his but without the colors and cape of an honor guard. She took a small craft to go bring honor to her family, and she did so by becoming a mercenary.
