Background

Born to a large military family in Saint Petersburg, her childhood was largely uneventful. With her family’s long tradition of military service, Anya enlisted immediately out of high school, having been brought up in a extremely patriotic family. Contacted by an officer of the GRU, with an offer to join, Anya anxiously accepted. Passing the grueling selection and training process, Anya was placed into the 346th Special Purpose Brigade.

Her first three years of military service was largely uneventful, until the Russian Federation invaded the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine. Following the invasion of Crimea, and the subsequent War in Donbass, Anya was deployed to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. Fighting with both DPR and LPR forces, Anya regularly performed reconnaissance and direct action operations against the Ukrainian Army and the Ukranian Ministry of Defence.

More than three and a half years after her deployment into Ukraine, Anya was recalled to Grizodubovoy, Moscow. Following the defection of an FSB Agent, and contact with unknown entities, Anya was sent to the United States in a joint GRU-SVR Operation to obtain information on the unknown entities based in Chicago.
