The amulet itself is a fire opal encased in a white gold setting shaped like a sailor knot formed around the fire opal and then up to knot around the chain.
Abilities
This amulet was made by a spell jamming captain's most powerful mage after years of study and research into how it should be done. Made for his wife, who refused to be left behind on any voyage, it does two things... The first is it is a dimensional anchor (operates as per the Dimensional Anchor spell) allowing his wife to, at will, block herself from extra-dimensional travel. Also if she is unconscious she will be instantly woken where she will only have seconds to decide to allow the travel or not.
The second piece of this is that it would create an awareness in the person who gives the amulet to its target of their physical and mental condition as well as their location and the nearest path to reach them. This may include the location of the nearest portal to reach another plane or the direct "as the crow flies" line toward the target.
The effect cannot be blocked by any means.
