|
A retired soldier and a veteran. Alina has seen her fair share of conflict, death, and suffering. Her experience has molded her into the caring woman she is today.
Personality
An honest woman. Alina is known for her motherly nature; someone anyone can go to to talk. She's a comfortable woman to be around with, willing to listen to whatever anyone needs to say. While not great in terms of giving advice, tending to be rather blunt when it comes to giving said advice. On the opposite end, she's particularly foul mouthed, but she is nonetheless a decent person.
A bit of a contrary to her motherly nature, Alina prefers to spend her time alone, just observing her surroundings from the luxury of her balcony. She rarely ever travels, only during family meetings and other events where her presence is asked for.

Background
A designer "Human", essentially a genetically created human. Her Mother and Father donated their DNA, and subsequent modifications were applied to her DNA. Both of her parents were generally infertile, and they were both the last of their family bloodlines. As such, they specifically requested that, if possible, she be a being that has an exceptionally slow aging process, once she reaches the age of 30.
The scientists working on her were largely successful, albeit with trial and error. They did not make her immune to diseases and sickness however, and as such, she's the only designer baby in current existence who's more normal than anyone else.
Officially being "born" in 1990, she was raised in a small three story house in Manila, studying from preschool all the way up to her last year of High School in a Catholic School in Paco, Manila. She didn't particularly excel in school, being as average as any student (or at least, as average as getting a grade no less than 80 but not more than 83). Even in college, she had average performance.
She studied Elementary and Secondary Education in Far Eastern University with a Masters Degree in both, focusing in Philippine History for her Secondary Education Degree. Alina did not stop there however, and went on to study Philosophy in San Carlos Seminary, earning herself a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy. At around a few months after she graduated (a few months after give or take), she enlisted for the military, being one of the few 100 servicewomen in active service in 2010.
She applied to join the Philippine Scout Rangers in 2015, she passed, barely, and went on to fight in the Siege of Marawi in 2017, while fighting, she held back and suppressed Maute Terrorists on her own as her squadmates, dead or dying, retreated to safety. She was shot 21 times, 7 times in the legs during the ensuing action. Alina was rescued by 4 different armored vehicles after 2 continuous hours of combat, she barely survived, crashed no less than 3 times, but she lived on. Her leg wounds were more severe than thought, and she refused an amputation, as such, she now walks around with a cane for her right leg. Her left leg was miraculously saved.
Her actions that day earned her a Medal of Valor, the highest award that can be bestowed upon a soldier, the Distinguished Service Star, the Wounded Personnel Medal, and the Silver Cross Medal. Her unit received the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, as their actions secured the evacuation of civilians. She retired soon after, working as a mechanic for a small shop near her house.
Her legs were originally thought to be a lost cause, however, her actions gained international recognition, she herself becoming a symbol of bravery. Alina was branded as the "Face of Defiance", her international recognition resulted in her being hired as an Ambassador of the Philippines in the United States.
She only worked as an ambassadress for 2 years, before retiring and fulfilling her dream of becoming a teacher, around this time, she met her husband, Jefferson H. Coñas, a 7-11 Employee, the two dated for nearly 3 years before he finally proposed to her. She said yes, and they were married on her birthday, March 21st, 2022.
The two had a kid born on October 29, 2023, naming her Julianne. However, their time as a family was short lived, as both Father and Daughter were killed in a car accident on their way home from Julianne's school. Julianne was only 6 years old.
Alina fell into depression, resorting to smoking, gambling and drinking heavy amounts of alcohol, her habits finally bit back when she had a heart attack on 2031, she was luckily saved by her neighbor.
After her heart attack, she decided to take a step back and put herself in therapy, changing her lifestyle into a much more healthier one. She fully recovered in 2033, having come to terms with the death of her family, excited to try out new things, she temporarily moved to Japan to try out modeling, becoming a gravure model, she retired after only a year, and returned to the Philippines.
Currently, she lives in a small apartment in Manila, the only redeeming factor being that she has a good view of the city.
