The Dansai artifact was an artifact in the hands of the Respa race, When war struck out on the planet, a colony of respa took to an underground location, under the ocean. They believed they would be safe from the war if they used the artifact to protect themselves, This backfired and trapped the respa in the underground. Without someone to disable it from the outside, there was no way to save themselves. the artifact was soon lost in the ocean, and after hundreds of years, the artifact was close enough to the location of the underground location to activate fully once more, the Dansai began to change the pathways, no pathway being the same. the walls of the paths to the location, over time, became rock hard, One would need to drill for days in order to escape, as it was atleast 20,000 feet underwater to exit from the location, one would have to take the paths back in order to make it safely back up.

The Dansai was created from the respa's powers. it was worshipped, and the reason for the war. The respa was split into three tribes, and they battled over who would keep it, One tribe was the one to retreat underground. Soon, the respa died off from lack of food, order and protection from other invaders.

The artifact acts as a shield, somebody must be on the outside of the shield in order to disable it. A very small door is located on the East side of the barrier, and allows people inside. From the outside is a code, this code changes once somebody enters the barrier. This means one can't just simply look at the code, go inside and disable it. There MUST be two people involved. any communications from inside and outside work very badly, and its hard to hear others. Once inside, the door disappears, meaning you cannot leave. When one disables it, the area around the artifact begins to crumble and age quickly. This is a way of defense, and trying to kill whoever it is who holds the artifact. When the artifact is disabled, the first person to pick it up and successfully get it out of range will fully deactivate it, and it will take 10 months to seventy years to be used again.

Drem Confoscho and Lance Thomas are the first people to have successfully deactivated and sealed it. This did come with casualities.

Markings Initially Left Markings Developed Into

When the artifact is deactivated, its powers are given over to the user doing so. These powers take weeks before they show. They start with the Markings.

They appear very faint, and are barely noticeable. As time goes on, they begin to get much darker, and grow thicker.

When Drem Confoscho picked up an injured snake-like creature that resided oddly close to the artifact, she thought nothing of it. this snake relates to the artifact. Once the lines fully form, the snake can take its place inside the lines, simply by slithering onto the middle finger, they can disappear. Depending on the energy levels of the user, they can summon multiple types of different snakes. The downside to this is that without properly working it, it can be draining.
